Putting UK dance on the international scene

Every year we support a huge range of different dance projects. From circus-style street events and workshops to full-scale touring performances, our dance team in the UK works in conjunction with our overseas arts managers to take UK dance all over the world, challenge outdated perceptions of the UK and make new collaborations and partnerships.

Arts and Culture for Development (ACD)
A wide range of arts projects with the aim of challenging behaviours and attitudes in society. ACD projects directly explore issues such as health, education, human rights, good governance, race, gender and disability.

Broadcast and New Media Dance
Multi-media dance events involving sound, visuals and new technology.

Ballet
This classical dance form is still very much alive in the UK today. Find out more about its history and development and how we have worked with the Royal Ballet and Random Dance on past projects.

Contemporary Dance
Today’s UK contemporary dance scene is more vibrant and diverse than ever. Performances may feature elements of ballet, martial arts, tap dance, hip hop, rock music, computer technology, performance art or film.

Live Art
Disrupting borders, breaking rules, defying traditions, resisting definitions, asking questions and activating audiences.

Sci-Art
Arts and science have long been a source of mutual inspiration. We are one of many organisations in the UK exploring diverse fields including ecology, mental health, space, genetics, virtual reality and neuroscience.

Dance Workshops and Residencies
Find out about our international work with dance enthusiasts, amateurs and professionals alike and our projects to promote the exchange of skills and knowledge in the performing arts worldwide.
