Global Xchange

Are you a young Egyptian woman or man? Are you between 18 and 25? Are you interested in volunteering and serving communities in need in your country? Are you looking for an opportunity to learn about other cultures? Are you free to fully devote 6 months of your life to take part in an exchange programme. Then now is your chance to apply to Global Xchange which will be running again in Egypt.  This year's exchange will start in March 2009.

What is Global Exchange?

In Egypt, we are working with our partner organisation Youth Association for Population and Development (YAPD) to recruit 9 Egyptian men and women who meet the above criteria to work together with 9 UK young volunteers on volunteering work attachments in the host communities identified in Egypt and the UK.  Selected volunteers will spend 3 months in each host community: Assiut in Egypt and Hounslow, in West London in the UK.  While on the programme, each pair of Egyptian and British volunteers will be living in a host home in the host community.
