The Government of Egypt regards the issue of quality in education as a top priority and a key reform agenda. The British Council has always supported Egypt’s efforts to improve the quality in education. Education programmes are a core part of the British Council’s work and evidence of this is the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by the British Council and both the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
British Council Egypt and Shell initative 'Intilaaqah'
Intilaaqah increases the awareness of young Egyptians aged 18-32 to the value of small and medium enterprises as viable career options. It encourages them to start their own businesses. Recognises successful young entrepreneurs and promotes them as role models, building the business capacity of unemployed youth to become self-employed.
