Supporting human rights and access to justice    

We manage client-funded initiatives to improve access to justice and help provide safety and security, particularly for poor and marginalised people.

What we offer

We have well-established national and international networks and partnerships with governments and civil society organisations. Our global network of offices gives us access to national, regional and international expertise and experience. We have in-house expertise and a successful record of managing projects and programmes to improve human rights and access to justice.

How we work

Our partners benefit from our commitment to:

participation of partners and stakeholders in decision-making   
the development of policy based on needs   
sustainability through developing the capacity of national experts and organisations

We work with a wide variety of organisations and individuals. Our partners include:

the judiciary    
the police   
the prison services   
lawyers    
customary and traditional justice systems   
alternative dispute resolution mechanisms   
civil society organisations.   

Our clients include the UK Department for International Development and the European Commission.

Examples of our work

View examples of our work to improve systems of justice and to improve human rights. Examples include the large EU-China Legal and Judicial Co-operation Programme and the  widely-praised Family Protection Project, Jordan.
