UCASAPPLY               
UCAS registration process starts from 1 September until 15 January. For Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine/Science, Cambridge and Oxford universities the deadline is 15 October. Find out more.

Living Together Regional Congress

Living Together Photo Competition

Art can change minds. Explore a world of diversity! British Council has launched the Living Together Photo Competition on the theme of Intercultural Dialogue. The competition is open to participants between 13-35. Learn more

IELTS Workshops for candidates

Places are limited so you need to book in advance.

Skills@Work is a twenty-country project that promotes internationalism within the vocational education and training sector across South East Europe (SEE) and the United Kingdom. Find out more   

British Council / BBC World Service International Radio Playwriting Competition 2009   

British council is joining forces with the BBC World Service to launch our new International Radio Playwriting Competition 2009.

The playwriting competition is at the heart of what World Service Drama does. It’s about hearing your stories and voices and a reminder of what a fantastic medium Radio Drama is – one of the most powerful and accessible ways to tell your story.  Whether you’re experienced, new, or somewhere in between, we want to hear from you. Your work is our future.

The competition has been officially launched on 18th October 2008, and the closing date for applications will be Tuesday 31st March 2009.  

There will be  two first prizes: for the best play by a writer with English as their first language and for the best play by a writer with English as their second language. The overall winners will each receive £2500 sterling and a trip to London to see their play being recorded for broadcast on BBC World Service in the BBC World Drama slot.
