What is Causeway?
Causeway is a youth exchange programme that has been developed to strengthen and improve relationships between young people on the islands of Britain and Ireland.
Who can participate?
The programme is open to all young people and those who work with them. Preference will be given to applications from those who are socially excluded, disadvantaged* or who would not normally get the opportunity to take part in projects of this nature.
*In a general sense Causeway considers 'disadvantaged' to be a lack of access and/or an inability to avail of the opportunities in life which others can avail of. This can spring from a number of different factors, namely: social, economic or educational deprivation; physical or mental ability; geographical isolation; belonging to an ethnic or religious minority or gender inequality

How do I apply?
After you have made contact with an Irish group, fill out the forms with your partner group, in plenty of time for deadlines. Each group fills out a separate form (even if two groups are from UK and going to Ireland - they would have different travelling costs). Application forms can be found here, or you can obtain one from Connect Youth.
How can I find a partner?
The Causeway Partner Search Database is a useful resource to help find a partner.
What are the deadlines for application?
