What countries can we exchange with using European funding from the Youth in Action Programme?
Including the UK, there are 31 eligible countries. These Programme Countries are divided into three groups:
European Union Member States
Austria Germany MaltaCountries of the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) and European Economic Area (EEA)
Iceland Liechenstein NorwayCountries negotiating accession to the European Union
TurkeyApplicants should remember that there are pre-established flat rates and fixed amounts applicable per country for Actions 1, 2, and 4. They may vary depending on the country in which the activity is taking place. To find out rates and amounts in each individual country click here
Are other countries involved?
For the purpose of the YOUTH programme, other countries are referred to as "third countries".
Youth exchange activities with Partner Countries must always involve at least two EU Member States and two countries from one of the following four groups.
