Find partners

How to link up with other schools and colleges across Europe

For almost all Comenius activity, you will need at least two other partner schools or colleges from at least two other countries within Europe. There are a number of ways in which we can help you to find the right partners.

Go to a contact seminar
We host contact seminars that allow around 60 teachers from different countries to meet and form partnerships, usually based on a specific theme. Contact seminars usually take place between September and January every year. For information on forthcoming seminars visit our
events page.

Use a partner-finding database
There are three web-based databases available if you are looking for a school or college partner

eTwinning is a simple way of finding partner schools in Europe and working on a range of exciting curriculum projects.
Global Gateway has a worldwide partner-finding database for schools and colleges looking for any kind of link.
Partbase is a Europe-wide database that lists schools and colleges looking for Socrates partners.

Contact your local authority
Your local authority will be aware of any links between your local area and others across Europe, particularly town-twinning links. Our Regional Network for International Learning in England and Wales, offers support to schools looking to develop an international outlook. Find a contact in your region.
