The local governments of Shanghai and Hangzhou have started to use BULATS to test the English ability of civil servants. Many companies use BULATS to assess the language ability of groups of employees or trainees and to set up a workplace English benchmark for the company.
The candidates can increase their workplace competency through holding a reliable certificate of English ability. The test result is also helpful for the candidate to understand his/her workplace English ability and make a study plan of further improvement.
