Bulats Test Report

ULATS links into the ALTE Framework of levels for language ability. BULATS Standard Test produces a report with the candidate's overall score (on a scale of 0 - 100) and level (on the ALTE level system of 0 - 5), and their score on each section of the test. On the reverse of the report there is a summary of the ALTE Can Do statements. The term of validity of a BULATS test result is 2 years.

Why take the BULATS test?

A BULATS test result is now recognised as a reliable evidence of workplace English ability by more and more companies, organisations and governments. The local governments of Shanghai and Hangzhou have started to use BULATS to test the English ability of civil servants. Many companies use BULATS to assess the language ability of groups of employees or trainees and to set up a workplace English benchmark for the company.

The candidates can increase their workplace competency through holding a reliable certificate of English ability. The test result is also helpful for the candidate to understand his/her workplace English ability and make a study plan of further improvement.
