PEACEKEEPING ENGLISH PROJECT

Home - Education - Here

The British Council manages the Peacekeeping English Project programme on behalf of the United Kingdom Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Ministry of Defence, and the Department for International Development. The aim of the project is to reduce, resolve and prevent conflict worldwide through improved English language communication.

In China, we are working with the Ministry of Public Security and the China Peacekeeping Police Training Centre to develop sustainable systems for English language teaching. This work will support Chinese police officers deployed on United Nations peacekeeping missions.

The British Council has managed the Peacekeeping English Project in over 35 countries worldwide since 1996.

For further information on the Peacekeeping English Project in China, please contact the project manager, BRIAN STOTT
