Yin Shuangyi

Yin Shuangyi is a graduate student of the School of Public Arts, China Academy of Art. “Upon arriving in Wales, I immediately felt that it is a mountainous country with the ups and downs of the land winding off into the far distance. People live off the mountains and are nurtured and inspired by the mountains. The Welsh people’s love of nature, their passion for sports, dancing, singing and poetry have provided me with many inspirations. Grass as a natural material has been utilised to make this installation, in order to represent the texture of the mountains in traditional Chinese paintings. Thus the Welsh residential experience is depicted in a very Chinese way.
