Access English Manager

The British Council in Myanmar is recruiting an Access English Manager.

Main duties

The postholder will be responsible for contributing to and promoting high quality and effective English Language Teaching (ELT) and learning in the British Council Myanmar by:

Requirements

We will be looking for evidences of knowledge and experience in the ELT field in Myanmar and at least 2 years experience of teacher training including course design, delivery and evaluation. Applicants need to have with first degree or equivalent together with Project and Contract Management skills with basic level skills in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Spreadsheet and Database)

A relevant post-graduate qualification and financial management skills are desirable (Please see detailed information in Job Profile document.)

The contract

This is one year contract that is extendable at the end of a year subject to performance. You are expected to work 37.5 hours per week. Working hours are flexible as postholder needs to attend some weekend events; occasional unsocial hours. The post involves regular travel within Myanmar and the region.

Exams Administrations Assistant - Mandalay

The British Council in Myanmar is recruiting an Exams Administrations Assistant - Mandalay.

Main duties

For an agreed portfolio of work, to assist the Exams Team in delivering the examinations services and to assist customer-centres and candidates in Mandalay.

This contract will start with 3 months probation period which can be extended at the British Council' s discretion, for which reasons will be given and documented. You are expected to work 37.5 hours per week.
