Senior Young Learners

Secondary Young Learners (aged 11 – 15)  

Through systematic study, project work, and communication activities, our 10 week courses develop teenagers’ confidence to express themselves fluently and accurately in English.  If they need to take an international exam in future (such as IELTS), the Senior Young Learner programme will help them achieve the level they need.  

Key course features  - 10 reasons to join

Communicative teaching methodology means students are actively involved, are intellectually stimulated, and enjoy themselves    
Students learn English by using it to talk about things that are important to them, and to discover things about the world through English    
British-trained teachers know how to organise learning and motivate students   
Small classes, individual attention, and regular individual discussion with the teacher    
Interesting topics and contact with the UK through up to date published course materials, specially written worksheets and the Internet   
Systematic learning through regular homework, grammar and vocabulary exercises, and writing tasks   
Programme is linked to Cambridge levels and takes students to First Certificate of English (FCE)   
Specific learning objectives for each course    
Certificate and full progress report at the end of each course    
Free library membership, Internet access, and extra conversation classes    

How many levels?
There are seven levels (Levels from 1 to 6 and then the FCE preparation) .

Each level comprises three courses.

How long is a course?
45 hours over 10 weeks.

How many lessons a week?
Three lessons of 1.5 hours each.

When are the classes?
At different days and times depending on the level, but usually 07:00, 16:15, or 18:00, and/or on Saturdays.

What’s the starting level?
You do a placement test and that determines the starting level. Find out how to
