available to Bulgarian applicants    

You should not travel to the UK or begin a course of study without making sure that you have enough money to cover all your academic fees and living expenses. It is virtually impossible to make arrangements for financial support once you have left your own country. Also, the immigration authorities will not normally allow you into the UK unless you have evidence that you can cover the costs of your proposed study.

Here are some resources available for Bulgarian applicants:

Announcement for Two Tuition Scholarships For MSc International Business Programme at The University of Birmingham Business School

The University of Birmingham Business School MSc International Business Programme announces two full tuition fee scholarships for Bulgarian citizens residing in Bulgaria. The scholarship does not cover travel, accommodation and living expenses.
The candidates should have at least an undergraduate degree with an excellent overall mark and a fluent command of English language. Candidates should have graduated from the economics universities in Sofia or Varna, or the faculties of management at the Technical University of Sofia or the University of Sofia.
Interested applicants should submit:

  • A current CV;
  • A translated in English legally certified copy of their diploma of higher education;
  • A translated in English and legally certified full transcript of marks from their studies;
  • Two letters of reference from their professors who should not be related to the applicant;
  • A document proving good knowledge of English language – the equivalent of overall IELTS score of 7.0.
  • Applicants should also submit a five page essay on the internationalisation prospects of a Bulgarian business of their own choice with reference to theoretical issues and practical aspects of business internationalisation.

The deadline for the submission of applications is 22 June 2007.
Applications have to be submitted to the Reception of the British Council in Sofia, 7 Krakra Street. Applicants should provide a telephone number to which those selected for interviews will be contacted.
Interviews with the short-listed candidates will be held on 29th June 2007 between 10.00 am and 12.30 pm.

The Overseas Research Students Awards Scheme
(ORS) grants awards on a competitive basis to international postgraduate research students of outstanding merit and research potential. The award scheme is administered by Universities UK on behalf of the Department for Education and Skills (DfES), and is reimbursed by the DfES through the UK funding councils.
