You can find an outline of the various Cambridge exam levels, dates and fees on our Cambridge ESOL exams page.
A. Before you register, you must ensure
1. that you will be available on those dates as the examination dates are set by Cambridge ESOL 12 months in advance and cannot be changed. These exams have to take place world-wide on the SAME day. It is important that you make arrangements early enough with your school, university or employer to be free on those dates.
2. that you have read the Cambridge ESOL Regulations and the Cambridge ESOL Summary Regulations for Candidates
CAE candidates should also read the declaration at the bottom of the " Important application notes and guidance" information sheet . Each candidate who takes Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) will be photographed on the day of the exam as the CAE is more and more accepted for purposes such as immigration and access to work and higher education. The photos taken on the day of the test, as well as results, will be available on the secure Online Results Verification website for use by organisations wishing to verify a result. Candidates will be able to control who can access their result and view their photo. When candidates register to take the exam, they will be asked to sign to give their consent for the photograph. If candidates are under 18, their parents will need to give consent.
B. Once you have made a choice you should download the relevant application form below which includes information on payment details, refund policy and issue of results and certificates.
1. Individual candidates
2. Group applications made by teachers or preparation centres (schools, colleges, companies, ..) (*)
(*) Group entry applications:
Group applications will give the teacher/preparation centre access to the "Cambridge ESOL Online for preparation centres" website. This website enables teachers to access their candidates’ exam results directly on the same day as their students. It also includes an exam information area with downloadable fact sheets and links to support materials for teachers and candidates.
In case of group applications we require full contact details of the person who will be making the group application and only basic information on the candidates entered. Full procedure described on the relevant group entry form.
Please note:
- There is a reduction of € 10 per candidate for schools or institutions registering 40 candidates or more per level. Please use a block entry form for this purpose.
- All exams can be administered at the premises of any institute or company with a minimum of 70 candidates.
