The Prime Minister's Initiative for International Education

International education helps us to build positive relationships with people around the world, share ideas and knowledge, and further our capacity for innovation and creativity.

The Prime Minister's Initiative for International Education, commonly referred to as PMI2, is a five year strategy to secure the UK’s position as a leader in international education.

On-line PMI2 priority market briefings
We are holding web-based briefings about PMI2 activities in Malaysia on 26, 27 and 28 May 2010, Nigeria on 1 and 2 June 2010 and Ghana on 3 June 2010. The briefings are open for applications.

Strategic review of communications
PMI2, in conjunction with the Education UK Partnership, has carried out a strategic review of communications. Read the report and get involved with the next steps.

Cross-border higher education in Nigeria pilot scheme
The British Council has been asked to identify UK institutions with links already in Nigeria to be part of a pilot scheme to run cross-border higher education (CBHE) in Nigeria.
