Comenius Regio grants consist of a lump sum allowance for mobilities PLUS a grant based on real costs for additional expenses.
The grant amount for additional project costs is limited to a maximum of €25,000 (and to a maximum of 75% of the additional project costs incurred).
Euro bank account
A new European Commission requirement has come into force for 2010. Successful Comenius Regio applicants whose grant award is above €25,000 will be required to set up or provide details of a EURO bank account into which the grant will be paid. We would, however, recommend that all Regio grant recipients follow the same procedure in order to avoid exchange rate fluctuations on pre-financing payments.
The lump sum allowance
The lump sum funding in a Regio Partnership is determined by the number of mobilities the participating region plans to carry out during the two year project cycle.
What is a mobility?
A mobility is one return visit by one person to a partner institution abroad.
What are the grant levels for UK regions?
The table below sets out the lump sum grants for UK Regio partners in 2011. The funding covers both years of the partnership. The funding is for the UK region, rather than for the partnership as a whole.
