Each year, they are taken by over two million people, in 130 countries and are widely recognised for work and study purposes. The exams are linked to the Common European Framework (CEF) of Reference for Languages, published by the Council of Europe. They are administered 3 times a year (March, June and December) and in Bosnia and Herzegovina you can take them in:
Banja LukaGenerally, the higher the level of exam, the more recognised, accepted and valuable it is. It is very important that you choose an exam at an appropriate level for you, otherwise you may find it too difficult and fail or too easy in which case the certificate will not correspond to your real proficiency level. We suggest you ask your English language teacher for advice.

Candidates’ answers and other work done by candidates are property of the University of Cambridge and under no circumstances will these be released to candidates, schools or centres.
All exam candidates will be provided with ID/ secret numbers together with the Confirmation of Entry which will enable them to access results online (approximately 8 – 10 weeks after the written test date). The registering institutions will be able to access their candidates’ results online at the same time, if they have received their own identification codes from the exam centre. Individual paper performance is not provided for those candidates with grade X (absent from part of the examination), grade Z (absent from all of the examination), or PENDING (result to follow).
About a month after the release of results, certificates will be sent to all candidates by post. Candidates that registered through a registering institution will receive their results through that institution.
The results are provisional and are subject to amendment by Cambridge ESOL prior to the issue of certificates.
If a candidate loses the certificate it is possible to get only a certified copy of the results at a certain fee.
Candidates' Statements of Results for most Cambridge ESOL exams now include a score out of 100 for the exam as a whole, as well as their grade and the graphical profile of performance in each paper. This gives them more precise information than has previously been available, and will help centres and schools to get a more accurate picture of the overall performance of their students. To understand better your exam score, please visit Cambridge ESOL website.
If you are unhappy with your results you may apply for an Enquiry on Results procedure.
Each exam has a final date for receiving Results Enquiries, and after this date it will not be possible to request an enquiry.
For March examinations, schools and candidates need to have contacted their centre to discuss a possible enquiry by 15 June.
For May/June examinations, schools and candidates need to have contacted their centre to discuss a possible enquiry by 15 September.
For November/December examinations, schools and candidates need to have contacted their centre to discuss a possible enquiry by 15 March.
Where an enquiry leads to a change of grade, any Results Enquiry fee paid will be reimbursed.
Where candidates are dissatisfied with the outcome of the Results Enquiry process, they are entitled to request a formal appeal against their result.
You can choose to have one or more test components re-marked. The re-mark is done by trained clerical markers and Cambridge ESOL-appointed senior examiners. Please note that you will not receive any kind of feedback or comments on your work.
There is a standard fee for this which is fully refunded if your score changes.
For more information please email us.
