ARTISTIC POLICY
Cardboard Citizens has forged a reputation for innovative, interactive, social theatre. It is the only UK professional theatre company working with homeless and ex-homeless people, including refugees and asylum seekers, as creators, participants and audience. Cardboard Citizens’ exploration of the down-and-out in classic literature continues with its interpretation of Georg Büchner’s modernist masterpiece. (90 mins, 6 on stage, 10 on the road.)
Promenade version of Shakespeare's tale of loss, exile and reconciliation. Set as if in an asylum-seeker holding centre, incorporating testimony from real-life refugees and migrants. Originally co-produced with the RSC, the production includes local participation elements. (140 mins, 12 on stage, max 20 on the road.)

Workshops based on Forum Theatre and the work of Augusto Boal led by Adrian Jackson, a leading expert on the Theatre of the Oppressed, and a well-traveled teacher and speaker. Jackson has taught Theatre of the Oppressed work in many contexts, throughout Britain and Ireland, and in France, Hong Kong, Mauritius, Namibia, South Africa, India, Colombia and Kosovo.
