This page brings together projects where there are elements from the many different sub-disciplines of design.  Many of the projects on this page celebrate these arts applied at their most practical level - in industry, in everyday items and in a concern for the environment.

In the 21st Century, design appears to have become truly global. But a harder look at design and globalisation raises questions. The British Council and the Victoria and Albert Museum hosted a critical debate looking at globalisation in design in October 2005.
