Aim: Raising the capacities of associations supported by British Council to operate  as independent organisations and play an active role is the society
Partners: EDEN, LGS network, BWB – Albania
Short Description: Training event focusing of how to run a youth NGO, local legislation, fund raising techniques, project management circle and PR and campaigning.

Let’s Get Started Summer School

Project Title: Let’s Get Started Summer School
Duration: 2005-2006
Aim: Non formal education for potential youth leaders from all over the country
Partner: GOAL, UK, Albanian ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports
Short Description: The event was designed to empower young people to network and remain engaged in active citizenship in their communities. The programme of the summer school prepared and led by GOAL teachers was a combination of active and creative learning. A number of local youth clubs were created in 5 different cities of the country following the summer school.

UK SEE Forum – Youth Strand

Project Title: UK SEE Forum – Youth Strand
Duration: Spring 2004-Spring 2006
Aim: To build alliances between the next generation of leaders from UK and the countries of Southeast Europe (SEE), as well as within the SEE itself. The forum contributed to creating future advocates for the UK and the SEE countries in an enlarged European Union
Description: The UK-SouthEastEurope Forum was a British Council regional programme run jointly by British Council offices in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo (UN administration), Macedonia, Romania and Serbia and Montenegro.The programme was designed to run for two years, starting from spring 2004.

BUSINESS WITHOUT BORDERS (Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Romania)
This project aimed to establish training programmes for young people interested in setting up their own business, transfering skills and making a real contribution to their countries' economies. BWB is now an independent organisation.
IC-POPCORN (Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Greece, Bulgaria, Croatia, UK)
Popcorn = promotion of peace, culture, origin, religion and nationality. The project group  produced a DVD and a booklet about young people's aspirations and identities.
UKanSEE (Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, UK)
The project was about a Youth Portal for young people in UK and SEE countries with information about countries, travel, work and study opportunities, discussion forums, etc. The portal is still very active. Check it out yourself.
