With many years of experience we support and organise a large variety of English language related activities in Mauritius. Our Teaching Centre in Rose Hill has been open for 5 successful years and over 5000 satisfied Young Learner and Adult students have taken quality English language courses with us. We offer courses at all levels to help you improve your chances of success professionally and personally. Some of them can lead to recognised qualifications. The range of courses for Adult Learners includes; all levels of General English, English for Specific Purposes, intensive and semi-intensive IELTS Examination Preparation courses and tailor made Communication & Business English programmes, delivered in the workplace for our growing number of corporate clients.
Improve Your Child’s Chances of Success with EnglishFor our Saturday Young Learner programme we have over 450 Primary (7-10 years) and Secondary (11-16 years) learners per ten week academic term who study General English and Cambridge Exam preparation courses. How can I register?
If you are a new student you will need to take a placement test before enrolling in one of our courses. This involves a written test and a speaking test with one of our teachers. Following the test we will match your language needs and learning requirements to a suitable class. We also offer courses to complement our Cambridge English Exams, please contact us if you are interested.
Please note that the placement testing periods take place during the registration dates.
How much will the course cost?

Payments for courses should be paid before your course starts. You can make payments in the Knowledge and Learning Centre (KLC) on the 1st floor of our premises in Rose Hill. You can pay by cash, credit card or cheque drawn made payable to British Council. Once you have paid you will be issued with a receipt detailing the time and location of your course, your student ID number and your class teacher.

Who are our Teachers?
The majority of our teachers are professionally qualified native speakers of English. All have the internationally recognised Cambridge qualification in teaching English as a foreign language (CELTA and or DELTA), and have taught in various Teaching Centres throughout the world.
Our teaching centre is MQA (Mauritius Qualifications Authority) registered and our 30 hour Adult courses and Business courses are MQA approved.
Where are we?
The Teaching Centre is based in Royal Road - Rose Hill where the majority of adult courses are held. Most of our Young Learner classes are currently based at IVTB.
