Take IELTS
IELTS is the world's most popular English language test for education and emigration. Over 1.5 million tests are taken each year in over 500 locations worldwide.
Book your test now or explore our TakeIELTS website to find out everything you need to know about the test. TakeIELTS will help you choose and prepare for your test using our free study resources and exclusive Road to IELTS online preparation kit. It also has a database of countries and institutions that accept IELTS, and instructions for accessing your results.
When you have booked your test please return to this page to browse your country's frequently asked questions.
Please note: The cost for DHL mail depends on the destination.
Even if you are confident of your English skills, it is essential that you become familiar with the IELTS test format. We can help you prepare for your test by:
Purchasing IELTS specimen material together with a CD/DVDProof of your identity which is the same as the identity information you provided on your application form. It must contain a number, a signature, a date of birth and a photograph.
Pens, pencils and erasers which you need for the test.
Please note: If you do not have the correct identity information you will not be able to take the test. Make sure you arrive on time so that you have enough time to get comfortable.
Your results will be ready 13 days after the main test date and you can collect them from our centre. You will be given a band score for each of the four papers as well as an overall band score along with a brief description of your level. The result is valid for two years.
Results will be returned to you as a Test Report Form. There is no pass or fail mark. Scores are given on a band scale of one to nine (with one being a non-user and nine being an expert user of the English language).
Unfortunately results cannot be given over the phone, by fax or email, and we are only allowed to give one certificate to each student.
In addition to the certificate given to the candidate, candidates can request their results be sent to receiving institutions by covering postage costs.
In addition to the actual Test Report Form that will be prepared for you, you can now view your results online. Click here to see your results.
