Creative and Cultural Economy

We work with partners across the world to help build the socio-economic potential of activities that trade with creativity, knowledge and information. We support the creative and cultural sector in each country by sharing learning around policy, innovation, skills and advocacy.

New Work, New Audiences

We share the most stimulating contemporary work being created in the UK and we will build on previous work, providing opportunities to artists and arts organisations in Africa interested in developing lasting relationships with the UK.

Culture and Development

This is a new area of work for the British Council and in many ways is still in its infancy. This programme focuses on working with partners to deliver arts and culture projects which directly benefit the country in which they are implemented.
