A Government announcement confirms that accreditation for the UK's English Language Teaching providers will be mandatory from 2009. The British Council is recruiting suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join the Accreditation UK inspectorate. The Annual Report is hot off the press. Review last year's activities of the Scheme which is now called "Accreditation UK". A signing ceremony on 10 February marks a new 5 year agreement between English UK and the British Council for the operation of the Accreditation Scheme from 1 April 2006.
