Ian Livingstone 在30多年前創辦其第一個遊戲工作坊時已成為數碼工業的開拓者。早在1980年代，他設計了Fighting Fantasy，一系列的互動遊戲書，並以23種語言發行，賣出一千五百萬本。 他所創作的盜墓者者羅拉更成為首部以遊戲為藍本的電影。他於2006年獲英國軍官勛章(OBE)以表揚其在電腦遊戲業的貢獻。
