Business Communications

Workshops range in topic from writing skills, including grammar and punctuation, to interpersonal communication and public speaking.  Attend three workshops to complete your “Business Communication” certification.

Computer Application Training

Microsoft Excel application training sessions provided at no charge. This page also includes links to additional computer training providers on campus and elsewhere.

Leadership Development

Advanced Leadership for Academics and Professionals, the UF Academy for Emerging Leaders, and Managing at UF:  The Supervisory Challenge are available for existing, new, and aspiring UF leaders and managers.  These programs and ongoing workshops are based on a UF-specific competency structure (knowledge, skills, and behaviors) needed to be a successful leader or manager in our environment.

myUFL System Training

Get the training you need to complete business transactions—HR, Financial, and Student Financial—along with reporting.  PeopleSoft, myUF Market, ePAF, and other workshops are available each month.  Some are required for system access.

New Employee Orientation

All new TEAMS employees are expected to attend New Employee Orientation within their first month of employment. Group enrollment, which provides an opportunity to enroll in benefits within a new employee’s first 60 days, also is provided several times each month for both new TEAMS and benefits-eligible faculty members. 

Preventing Sexual Harassment

UF is committed to keeping the university free from sexual harassment and to ensure it’s a safe place in which to work and learn.  This online workshop (45 minutes) is expected to be completed by all UF faculty and staff. 

Pro3 Series

Designed for administrative professionals at the university based on an identified competency structure that has three tracks:  Fiscal Management, HR/Payroll Management, and Academic Department Support, the Pro3 Series has three certifications designed to cultivate needed knowledge and skills.

University Retirement provides information sessions on a range of topics designed to assist UF employees in their retirement and financial planning.

Sponsored Research Training Series

Training that provides information and resources to support UF’s research enterprise. This series is designed to meet the specific needs of principal investigators, research administrators, and other staff who support these endeavors. Many courses are available online so you can get the information you need – when you need it.
