Overview

This menu features links to various validators of HTML, CSS and links available online.

W3C HTML Specifications

W3C HTML Validator

  • W3C HTML Validator opens Markup Validation Service result page of the current resource provided by W3C.
  • The Markup Validation Service checks if the current resource is valid HTML 4.0 Strict -- if the current resource identifies itself as "HTML 4.0 Strict" and if the validator successfully performs a formal validation using an SGML or XML Parser.

W3C CSS Validator

  • W3C CSS Validator opens CSS Validation Service result page of the current resource provided by W3C.
  • The CSS Validation Service checks if the current resource validates as CSS.

W3C Link Checker

  • W3C Link Checker opens Link Checker result page of the current resource provided by W3C.
  • The Link Checker checks anchors, links and redirect from the current resource and identifies broken elements.

W3C Tidy

  • W3C Tidy opens HTML Tidy result page of the current resource.
  • The HTML Tidy scans HTML of current resource, fixes and warns of problems when it can, and generates a new tidy version of the scanned HTML.

WDG HTML Validator

  • WDG HTML Validator opens HTML Validation result page of the current resource provided by WDG.
  • The HTML Validator checks character encoding and level of HTML of the current resource and identifies errors in the HTML.

WDG Link Valet

  • WDG Link Valet opens Link Valet result page of the current resource provided by WDG.
  • The Link Valet prints a report that includes the summary of all links from the current resource and identifies if there is any condition that might need to be investigated.
  • When a link references another HTML page at the same site and hierarchy as the URL, Link Valet will recursively follow the link and prepare a similar report on the page referenced.

Results Replace Page

  • When Results Replace Page is selected, a checkmark is put next to the option and the validation result page is opened in the current tab and window when a validator is selected.
  • Deselecting this option unchecks the option and the validation result page is opened according to the brower preference setting.
