Science and Engineering Quad Construction

If you have visited the north side of campus lately, you are sure to notice the many building changes. The Science and Engineering Complex Phase IV is scheduled to open summer 2013. The demolition of the back wings of H.M. Comer Hall has begun as part of site preparation for SEC Phase IV.

Big Event at UA to Study the Very Small

Drs. Mark Weaver and Greg Thompson of metallurgical and materials engineering helped organize a week-long conference that will bring more than 180 scientists from 12 countries who research materials at the atomic scale to the UA College of Engineering.

Engineering student named a 2012 Truman Scholar

Ryan Flamerich, a junior, is a 2012 Truman Scholar, the first student from the UA College of Engineering selected for the prestigious scholarship.

The College of Engineering recently launched a new program for current and prospective students incorporating the many available activities they can pursue while at the Capstone. The Engineering and Program specifically is designed so our students can meet their personal education goals while also allowing them to experience life fully at a major liberal arts and research university.

As the demand for engineers and computer scientists continues to grow, UA's College of Engineering is focused on preparing our students for the infinite number of opportunities available.
