Religious Services Mission Statement
The mission of Religious Services is to provide opportunity for inmates to explore and practice their faith or spirituality individually and corporately from intake through re-entry into the community.
In order to accomplish this mission, we identify the following goals:
Administrative Procedures
To streamline and coordinate statewide Religious Services practices for efficiency, productivity and consistent application.
Volunteers
To foster a respected and recognized volunteer community which serves the diverse needs of inmates, and which provides support to staff and to the mission of the Department of Corrections.
Working Relationships
To develop and maintain professional, caring and supportive relationships in our working environment.
Department Ethics
To promote ethical and compassionate relationships and procedures within the Department of Corrections.
Passion and Calling
To relate to all inmates, especially at times of crisis or loss, with care and understanding that reflects our passion and calling to serve the entire population.
Victim Services
To provide respectful and compassionate services to victims and survivors of crime in a way that does them no further harm.
