The Budget and Policy Section has nine analysts.  These analysts work with state agencies throughout the budget development process.  Analysts help agencies build the Agency Request Budget.  Analysts then examine the Agency Request Budget and make recommendations to the Governor for development of the Governor’s Recommended Budget.  Budget and Policy staff members also explain the Governor’s budget recommendations to the Legislature and other groups.
