Program Overview
Students interested in Mathematics Education have a variety of options at the Curry School of Education. For undergraduates interested in teaching middle and/or high school mathematics, we offer our B/MT, a five-year program that includes both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree along with licensure and endorsement. For post-graduates similarly interested, we offer our PGMT, a 2-year master’s program.
Our M.Ed and Ed.D degrees are offered in conjunction with Curriculum, Teaching and Learning (CTL), where Mathematics is an emphasis area in the CTL framework.
Finally, Ph.D. studies in Mathematics are available through the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) graduate unit, where students engage in studies across these disciplines, while concentrating on Mathematics Education.
