Clatsop County Family Court has served families effectively since July 1, 2000. The court assigns cases on a one judge / one family basis. This allows judges to review family issues in a comprehensive manner, consolidate hearings when appropriate, issue non-conflicting orders, and craft solutions that best fit family needs.
The Family Resource Center is a court program that helps parties in domestic relations cases fill out forms and understand court procedures. A family court specialist staffs the Center, and helps with divorce, separation, custody cases; modifications of custody, parenting time, and child support; parenting time enforcement; FAPA (restraining) orders; protective orders for the elderly and disabled; and civil stalking orders.
The family court specialist is not an attorney and cannot give legal advice or help with legal strategies. You are encouraged to consult with an attorney for legal advice concerning your case.
The Center is located on the second or main floor of the courthouse, 749 Commercial Street, Astoria, Oregon serving people on a drop-in basis. Please call 503-325-8555 X319 to hear the current hours of The Family Resource Center.
For further information, call 503-325-8555 ext 319 or email the Center.
