At the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, we encourage discovery, innovation, and creativity in the humanities, the social sciences, and the natural sciences. As a premier research facility, graduate and undergraduate students work side-by-side with faculty in the research process to uncover new, unanswered questions and identify discoveries in emerging fields.

Through the constant development of theories, the gathering and interpretation of data, and the examination of new techniques of inquiry, Columbian College research applies to contemporary, real world concerns across multiple fields—including dance, documentary film-making, climate and energy issues, immigration and migration, autism, and nuclear physics.
