About NYCSEF 2014
The New York City Science and Engineering Fair, the largest high school research competition in NYC, is sponsored by the New York City Department of Education and the City University of New York. Each year, hundreds of students participate from all over the five boroughs. The NYCSEF 2014 application is currently available for download and the online registration is open. Please visit the Application tab for further information.
NYCSEF is affiliated with the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. Winners of the NYCSEF competition will represent Team NYC at the INTEL ISEF and compete for more than $4,000,000 in awards. Students interested in participating in future NYCSEF events are encouraged to review the NYCSEF RULES and GUIDELINES.
President Obama visits the Finals
In 2011, addressing the 191 students participating at the Finals Round , President Obama said, “I want you to know that you are the key to our success. You’re going to be able to find a job because there’s going to be a great advantage for the skills you’re learning. So you should all be extraordinarily proud of the work you’re doing.”
