Paperless E-Bills
- Effective Fall 2009 semester, we said “good-bye” to paper bills and moved into the era of electronic billing.
E-billing offers several benefits. These include:
-
- Helping to keep tuition and fee costs down by lowering the University’s costs of doing business
- The option for students to designate an authorized user such as a parent or guardian to do business on their behalf
- A “green dividend” through a dramatic decrease in paper consumption for such things as fee bills, envelopes and inserts, thus helping to conserve our natural resources
- 24x7 access to your bill from any location with a web browser
Prior to each semester, students and authorized users are notified by e-mail when their e-bill is ready to be viewed. Students and authorized users may pay their e-bills online by e-check or by credit card (note: a 2.5% convenience fee applies for credit cards). Traditional paper checks will also continue to be accepted, however, checks will now be scanned and converted to electronic payments.
E-bills are fully integrated with the UConn Payment Plan for those who desire to pay in installments.
UConn’s e-billing is more convenient. For example, you’ll be able to set up optional secure “profiles” that save your checking account information so that you don’t have to re-enter it each semester. There’s even an option to be notified by text message.
