June 12th – Managing Your Company’s Finances, 6-8pm ( Register)
This seminar offered at the Baruch SBDC and taught by lecturer Mary Ann Holley provides entrepreneurs and small business owners with practical do-it-yourself methods of managing the finances of start-up companies. Participants will explore simple ways to set up record-keeping systems, develop budgets and generate reports that will help them control costs, improve cash flow and contribute to the ongoing strategic planning for their businesses. Basic techniques and a quick look at QuickBooks will be discussed.

June 21 – How are Immigrant & Minority Entrepreneurs Shaping Manhattan’s Economy? 8:30-10:30am
On the morning of June 21st, the Center for an Urban Future, the Fund for Public Advocacy and Cooper Union Office of Continuing Education & Public Programs will co-sponsor a major forum at Cooper Union about the catalytic impact of immigrant and minority entrepreneurs in Manhattan. Attendance is free but space is limited.
