Literary Galleries

The galleries are a means of gaining additional information and insight into specific aspects of the PBO project. These galleries highlight prominent authors, important literary topics, and single titles that proved popular during the publishers' bindings era. The galleries are useful not only in learning more about the PBO project itself and the types of materials within the PBO virtual collection, but also in learning about aspects of 19th- and early 20th-c. history, life, and culture. The galleries and accompanying scholarly material can be incorporated in lesson plans and can serve as a springboard or inspiration for further research in a specific area. If you have a suggestion about a gallery you would like to see, please contact us.
