Baruch CAPS maintains a Faculty Lounge for the benefit of instructors. It is located in room 1107 at 17 Lexington Avenue. Facilities include tables, chairs, photocopy machine, computer, refrigerator, telephone and shelves for storing classroom materials. Instructors are expected to keep the room clean and neat, and to respect the property of their peers. Instructors should contact Academic Operations for the access code to gain entrance to room 1107, and for their access code to use the copy machine.
Academic Operations maintains a bulletin board inside the room to post notices, updates, changes, and other important information. There is also a bulletin board outside of the office (in the hallway), which lists classroom assignments for each course.
A file folder stand in the room serves as a distribution area for documents intended particularly for ESL instructors.
Baruch CAPS encourages instructors to use student email addresses for distributing materials to their classes but when that isn't possible, the photocopy machine in the faculty lounge may be used. For details on photocopying, please see the section entitled Access to Copy machine
Please note that the copy machine in the Baruch CAPS main office is for administrative staff use only.
