Beginner Swimming(click to collapse/expand)
A safe and supportive environment will be provided for students with little or no previous swimming experience, who will progress at their own pace. Treading water, front and back float, front crawl stroke, beginner back stroke, water entries (feet first and basic dive), underwater swimming and water safety skills will be covered. A swimming cap is mandatory.

Advanced Beginner Swimming(click to collapse/expand)
Students with some swimming experience will perfect their lap swim techniques and master the basics of the sidestroke, floating and treading water. Limited to 12 students. A swimming cap is mandatory.

Intermediate Swim(click to collapse/expand)
Students who already know the basics will rise to the level of lap swimming. Students will perfect stroke mechanics, learn front and back crawl, and work with a trainer to improve technique. A swimming cap is mandatory.

Swim Clinic(click to collapse/expand)
Sessions will focus on improving/learning competitive Olympic strokes: front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. Open turns, flip turns and diving will be covered. Limited enrollment. The following skills are required: front crawl with breathing to the side, swimming on back and deep-water confidence. A swimming cap is mandatory.

The exquisite new pool in the Baruch College Athletic Recreation Complex is one of the hidden jewels of the campus and is perfect for free-style swimming.
