Important Details About Million Dollar Band Scholarship Auditions

  1. ALL WIND PLAYERS must provide your own personal instrument for the scholarship auditions. No University owned instruments will be provided for the scholarship auditions. Flutes will audition on piccolos, mellophones will audition on French horns and marching baritones and tubas will audition on concert horns provided by the student. If scholarship and membership is awarded, University owned mellophones, marching baritones and sousaphones will be provided to the students at Fall Camp for use during the marching season. Piccolos must be personal instruments.
  2. Please note that receiving a Million Dollar Band Scholarship does not guarantee a student a spot on the performance roster. Even those students who receive scholarships must audition at Fall Camp to earn a spot on the performance roster.
  3. If a student auditions for a Million Dollar Band Scholarship and is not awarded a scholarship, the student must still play an audition at Fall Band Camp to gain membership and a spot on the performance roster.
  4. Million Dollar Band scholarships are not available for Shelton State students.
