Keyword

Select this option to search for items using descriptive words that you choose.

This is generally the best way to find materials on a specific topic.

Title

Use this option to look for items with a specific title.

You must know the precise title or, at least, exactly how the title begins. If not, try a keyword search instead.

Author

Choose this option to find materials created by a particular person or organization.

You must enter the author's last name first.

Author/Title

This option allows you to search by both author and title at the same time.

If you do not know the exact title, try a keyword search instead.

Subject

Choose this option to search for items listed under a specific Library of Congress Subject Heading.

If you aren't familiar with subject headings or don't know the exact heading to use, try a keyword search instead.

Call Number

Select this option if you already have an item's call number.

If you do not know the call number, try a different search method.

Course

Select this option to find materials placed on reserve for a specific class.

This search will only retrieve materials that are on reserve.

Professor

Use this option to find materials placed on reserve by a specific professor.

This search will only retrieve materials that are on reserve.
