Student Financial Services is dedicated to providing students, alumni, and their families with efficient, courteous, and responsible financial services, while complying with all federal, state, and University policies. They provide financial assistance to students, many of whom might otherwise be unable to attend the University.


  • Outreach Financial Resources
    Provides you with information on need-based assistance and merit scholarships. U.Va. is a need-based financial institution. Limited merit scholarships are available. All applicants are automatically considered for our merit awards and no separate application is required. To be considered for need-based assistance, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, and the CSS Profile.
