In order to be the best, you need to be trained by the best. That's why Miranda Morgan of Salem chose the University of Illinois to pursue a degree in crop sciences.
Morgan, a transfer student from Rend Lake College, used the U-Transfer site to help her navigate transferring credits from her community college to U of I.
"If I can offer advice to an incoming transfer student, I'd recommend staying on top of things - make sure you look carefully at deadlines for scholarships and applications," Morgan said. "Don't be afraid to ask questions."
A focus on attaining a well-rounded education has helped Morgan find success.
"U of I is constantly adding new opportunities for students, such as genomics labs and other high-end research equipment," she said. "Whether you join a student club, get involved in a Greek organization, or assist a professor, beyond-the-classroom experiences will help you enjoy college life even more while gaining an education that can't be beat."
